The aim of the Sonik specialists was to maximise performance while reducing the transport length. With the increasing popularity of short rods, the Sonik Xtractor Carp Recon has been designed using the "RECON" technology which uses the manufacturing of the rod with a retractable handle section. In addition, it also features the "VARI-TAPER" joint construction, to produce a rod with similar performance to that of two full sections. Each model having a transport length of 127cm. The performances offered by the Sonik Xtractor Recon Carp series are complemented by the modern design and quality components that equip these rods.

The thin blanks with matt black finish are partially telescopic, made of carbon fiber, have a large power reserve in the handle section and a tip with a fast recovery that offers surprising performance, both in casting and in drilling with larger fish in close fishing. The lightweight M-Series DL guides are corrosion resistant, allow smooth sliding of the line, thus eliminating the risk of unwanted loops, in addition it is equipped with an anti-frap tip guide with a light frame. The ergonomic DPS chuck (18mm) and the shrink wrap handle, a material made in Japan, treated with anti-slip that gives an excellent grip even when your hand is wet, complete the list of top features of the rod.
